Welcome. We're Jack and Stephanie, and we've created this space to talk about homes—our own, ones we help design, and ones we dream about.

We are an architect and designer team (read more about us here) interested in making simple but beautiful spaces, with a focus on economy, sustainability, and respect for our natural surroundings and communities. Homes that stand the test of time in their durability and style are what we admire and seek to create.

Along the way we will be sharing the experience of renovating our own 102-year-old home (we are starting our kitchen remodel in just a matter of days). If you are interested in home renovation and would like to know more about the design process, hiring architects and contractors, plans and permits, sourcing materials, and translating inspiration into a happy reality, we think we will be a good resource.

We will each have our own voice and posts here, one is a little bit more technical, one is a little bit more dreamy—a combination that makes for good design, we think. More from each of us coming soon.
